What Should I Do When My Ipod Loses All Music And Podcast Content?

So I checked my iPod and all music and podcast is gone. I’m at work so I can’t be at my home computer. I think this has happened once before with my iPod mini; I unplugged from the computer too quickly. Then somehow, the content came back. Now I got a 80GB video iPod. I tried the rebooting (Press “select” and Menu at the same time) but it never really reboots; it winds down, show the Apple logo and then winds back up again. I want to know how to get my content (I guess the iPod is just acting up) without connecting to my home computer/reloading everything. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

  1. Hope it is still under warranty and get a new one. Try rebooting with it plugged into an outlet. That is supposedly suppose to refresh the ipod the best according to the apple store technicians.

  2. Just go home and resync the bad boy. Sorry, I can’t think of anything else to do. When all else fails, restore, restore, restore.
