Grantwood Technology presents the tuneband armband for the iPod Nano® 3rd or 4th Generation. The silicone skin is secure, thick and protective and allows access to all the ports on the iPod Nano®. The tuneband has a comfortable stretchy Velcro® band that fits both large and small arms. Also, the tuneband comes with a low tack peel screen protector. Finally, the tuneband is compatible with the Nike+iPod system, allowing you to attach the Nike+iPod receiver to the iPod.

This package also includes the Shoe Pouch. The Shoe Pouch was designed by Grantwood Technology, LLC to allow runners and walkers to use the Nike+iPod Sport Kit® with any type of shoe. When designing the Shoe Pouch, our primary goal was to ensure a snug fit, extensively testing it with reinforced, nylon lace loops, and a Velcro® closure over the insertion slit. These designs maximize the durability of the Shoe Pouch while, most importantly, maintaining the accuracy of the Nike+® system. The Shoe Pouch matches the correct longitudinal alignment of the sensor, completely covers the sensor and attaches through the laces for excellent security. With a small, low profile, secure, neoprene design, the Shoe Pouch is the answer to using the Nike+iPod® with any style of shoe.

Overall I think it’s a great arm band for the price, the silicon case fits well and seems pretty well made. The arm band itself is a little tight, so if you’re big into weight lifting or something and have big arms then it might not be perfect.

I ordered two of them, one for a friend and one for myself…they arrived promptly…perfect fit and great color (purple.) I made a mistake on the style (I needed a G4 for my friend) and the customer service people were amazingly helpfu….sending out the replacement and not asking for the incorrect product back! Excellent product and half the price of what you see in the apple store! The chip holder is snug and effective as well

Customer Review: Not a good fit with the Ipod Nano
Overall it’s a decent product. The control scheme is a bit confusing and the band feels cheap. But it does provide a lot of useful functions like lap timer and countdown timer. However there is one design flaw which ruins it - the remote adapter that attaches to the Ipod is too large. On a 4th gen Nano, the adapter almost covers the earphone jack. The Ipod pack-in headphones will fit, but almost any L-shaped connector will not. That means you can’t use it with most of the headphones on the market. If I can’t use the headphones I want with it, it’s pretty much useless. It does fit okay on a 3rd gen Nano or full-size Ipod. But since I use it when I run, I don’t want to carry a full-size Ipod. For a runner, get the Nike + iPod WatchRemote (Remote Watch Amp+) - Black/Dark Grey - WM0053-003 instead. It has a lot fewer functions, but it does the important stuff - tell time and control the Ipod. And it has a small enough adapter that I can use the earphones I want to.

Great way to control your Ipod. As a runner I am often wearing gloves during the winter and controlling my Ipod with gloves on is impossible. This works perfectly.

Customer Review: Not impressed
This is too expensive for what you get. I got suckered into buying it because their “gimmick” was cool. I thought having a toy for my iPod would be a fun new item. But the vibrations weren’t very strong and if my music switched beats before I was ready, I actually got irritated! LOL

Save you money and just get a regular, well made toy that isn’t a music gimmick.
Customer Review: Not worth the cash.
With how high the price is, there is no way it can be worth it. The rythmn feature is great (some hot dance tunes can get anyone off real fast), but really other than that, there is nothing that is that great about it. Rubber or something more fleshlike would have been more comfortable (and realistic ;)). It had to be made out of this cheapish plastic.

Also, I have gotten better stimulation out of cheaper ones, so not even the vibrating is that great. The music feature is great, but I would only get this if you are really set on that one thing.

Yeah! Thanks for finally making them in other colors. This is fantastic, I don’t have to spend the extra money for the Nike + shoes and I can still use my gadget! For those of you who say it’s inaccurate–calibrate it using a treadmill, both walking and running and you’ll be much happier, trust me - I love it!

Customer Review: Superb value for money
I must say that I really never expect this item to be sold at the given price. It was one of THE bargain in Amazon! Being a serious runner, I have always appreciated fuctionality over forms. This armband sure serves it function as it holds on to my iPod Nano like a glove. The armband itself is not intrusive and I can barely feel it there as I pile on the miles.
Though some might complain about the lack of visible screen, I find that drawback neglible as i seldom check out the screen on my runs. The iPod Nano can provide voice info with just a touch of a button.
Overall, this is a fantastic value for money item!

I have the version wrapped in white leather. I love the helmet! It looks sweet. It’s very comfortable. The Tune-Ups (Giro/Skullcandy) work amazing. Make sure that you get the Tune-Ups that have buttons and not just tabs. I had to send the first ones back, but they are worth it. So convenient and very loud.

The only thing that I would mention is that it holds heat pretty well. On warm days you’ll probably want to take it off when you stop.
